Okay, after another long while, I'm back again, writing another introductory piece.
Candy and I are now in Paris, living in a lovely little (emphasis on little) flat in Montmartre, about 15 minutes downhill from the Sacre Coeur. Candy has a job as a bilingual secretary in a pharmaceutical company called Servier and I am doing the 'gentleman of leisure' bit. (According to Buffy The Vampire Slayer that is English for slacker.) We have been here for a couple of months now, although I've only had the computer for a few weeks - the perils of moving to another country is something that will be ingrained upon my psyche for many years to come! I may write about it when the mental scars have healed over a little...
Anyway, I am working on my second novel at the moment. It doesn't have a title yet, although I am starting to come around to the idea of calling it The Nature Of The Beasts and hoping that it doesn't get confused with The Number Of The Beast by Robert Heinlein. (Even though it does have the best piece of bad writing in the world in it. I have memorised it, it is that bad: "Their teeth grated and her nipples went 'SPUNNG'!" Love it!) Anyway, at some point, a short section of Novel #2 will appear here. As far as The Long Sleep is concerned - Pan Macmillan are currently reading the entire thing. This is a good thing - all of the people to whom I had sent a short extract previously didn't want to read any further. Fingers crossed and I shall keep you updated. Also appearing here shortly will be a new short story calle 'Armless.
I am changing some of the buttons below, to tidy things up a little - so there is going to be a seperate section for my fiction. I think it's getting a bit much (especially with the imminent arrival of the two new bits) to access it all from the front page. Also, somewhere in Ellen's bit, there is going to be the start of an e-mail correspondence about the whole transgender 'thing' between myself and a t-woman called Alice. It's interesting. Or, at least, I thought it was, anyway. Comments are, as always, requested.
Anyway, that's about it for now. I'll leave it here with the hope that you have all had a great Christmas/Hanukkah/ Kwanzaa/Winter Solstice/whatever it is your celebrating and will be having a damn fine New Year/Century/Millenium.
