Interesting to see that something I put up just in passing has generated the most comments. And from lots of people I don't know! Which is kind of gratifying. Hello to all of you and thank you for commenting and for giving me the information.
I did kind of assume that it was spam, so I ignored it. I wasn't really prepared to shell out cash t6o find out what someone had said about me. I figured that just about anything worth gossiping about was already up here. I mean, there isn't really much more to say other than I'm a tranny comics SF geek. And I think that's reasonably obvious. And who the hell (with apologies to Sue) would want to pay to hear gossip. Didn't someone famous once say something along the lines of never hearing anything good about yourself by eavesdropping? Ah, accurate quotations. I should set up a Quote of the Day mailing list. Or perhaps not.
Anyway, I'm not sure that there would be anything that the BBB (I am assuming that Jo meant the Better Business Bureau) could do anything about it. After all, if Snopes and Ziff-Davis are both writing about it, then I imagine it's reasonably well known. Pity it isn't as funny as the 'I've got 3 million dollars and no bank account' emails. Hell, it's not even as funny as the 'Enlarge Your Penis, Get Free Prescription Viagra And Check Your Credit Rating' emails. Oh well. Just goes to show, you shouldn't trust anyone or anything...
