01/10/2004 Entry: "Neil Gaiman, Dave Sim and A Free Comic Book!"

On Neil Gaiman's journal (which has been mentioned at several points in this here journal) there has been an offer of sorts. If you write a letter - a real one, not an email or something like that - to Dave Sim (and if you don't know who Dave Sim is then Google his name. He's, let's say an 'interesting' character in the comic book world.) he will send you a free copy of Cerebus - his book that he self-published for 300 issues. Which is a hell of a thing to do. Trust me on this one.

Anyway, I wrote and I received and I got a letter with it. This one. A man called Richard Moore is collecting all the letters, or links to the letters in one place. There are some really fun ones there.
And, if you fancy getting yourself a free issue of Cerebus, then write a nice letter to Dave Sim, telling him why you'd like one. His address is Dave Sim, Box 1674 Station C, Kitchener, Ontario N2G 4R2, Canada. It may be winding down now, but you never know...
