Notes From The Journey

Tuesday, 18 November, 2003

Last Friday, Jean, Roger and I went to a talk and signing by Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean. It was for the publication of The Wolves in the Walls.
It was rather wonderful, with Neil reading the book and then both of them being interviewed by Jonathan Ross (who interviewed him again on Radio 2 the following day. You can here it for the rest of this week, by following this link. Although after this Saturday coming (the 22nd), it'll be next weeks show. And so on and so on...

Anyway, I got Wolves In The Walls, Coraline and my copy of Signal to Noise (which I thought was out of print, but Amazon claim to be able to send in 24 hours) signed.
Things are good.
There are pictures of the event taken by Roger, before his camera died.

On another note entirely, the 14th of November was also the 13th anniversary of Candy and my first date. Ahh. Sweet.

I've decided to stop allowing people to comment on here. This is mainly because there were several idiots who had posted stuff on the Vampire's alphabet entry which were facile and idiotic. They seemed to indicate in their comments that by not actually having an alphabet as used by real vampires I was in some way insulting both them and the real vampires that of course exist. (I've deleted the comments now, by the way. And I don't care if it censorship - they were insulting both me and Gail-Nina, who wrote the poem. The former I can take, the latter I won't.) Methinks these people have been reading far too much Anne Rice. Anyway, if people want to make any comments, then they can always email me using one of the many links strewn thorughout the site.
So, there we have it.
Goodnight all...
