"It's a boy without a willy! God's be praised! It's a miracle!"

Blackadder II

This is going to be a ridiculously self-centred page. But then, show me a personal website on the internet that isn't...

As of writing (January 12th January 2003) Candy is about 13 weeks pregnant.

I've been looking for something else to add to this site for ages and I've found it. The sprog. Our baby. The fetus. The vomit-inducing proto-bump. Whatever you want to call it.

It is due on or around the 21st-23rd July. Which will make it a Leo, like me. It will also be a Sheep. (I'm a boar, Candy is a dog and a Taurus.)

As you may be able to guess from the non-gender specific terminology, we don't know it's gender yet. Nor do we want to know until the birth. However, there Candy had her first scan on Friday and I think I may have seen a pair of bollocks. I'm probably kidding myself, but...

Anyway, as for the scan - here it is...

Baby's first photograph

I'm amazed by how clear it is. You can see the body quite clearly. The head is to the left of the image, the arse to the right. Above the head is a little white spot that is a hand and above the bum is it's foot.

So it's good to see that everything is in the right place anyway.

When the scan was done, it was SO active. It was moving all over the place. We saw pretty much everything - at one point we got to see its hand, splayed out showing all its fingers, at another point, we saw feet (they are 8mm long at the moment. Well, they were on Friday anyway.) It looked at us, showed us it's arse, everything. A total show-off. So, it'll be mine then.

Candy isn't feeling anything - other than nausea - at the moment, nor is she showing at all. It is only just over 5cm long from head to bottom. But, it's going to start growing fast.

More news, as it happens.
